A coal mining town at one time
In 1887 - The Village of Arnot had over 2700 residents while the year 2000
census shows 354.
Out of 7 original churches, 3 still remain standing. There is a small Post
Office.
There are no grocery stores or shopping of any kind in Arnot.
This is a small rural community but if you find yourself driving thru,
be sure and stop at "Bergy's Place" which is a new restaurant opened
in one of these churches.
A beauty shop and the Arnot Sportsmen Club are also in this small town.
